For sale is a rare-condition, very clean classic RF Linear Amplifier (80-40-20-15-10 meters) that I've had the blessing and good fortune to own and operate for over 12 years. This has all the factory revisions and improvements of the HT-33 series of Hallicrafters RF Linear Power Amplifiers produced between 1957 and 1961. Owning several RF Amplifiers, including a homebrew floor model under way, it's time to let this beauty go to a new home where another ham can appreciate it's warm nostalgic presence, and enjoy operating it. Both myself and the previous owner(s) have taken great care of this clean, collectors-quality HT-33B. A MAJOR COMPONENT REPLACED JUST BEFORE I PURCHASED IT IN 2000 IS THE H.V. FILTER CAPACITOR, REPLACED WITH A NO-PCB "PLASTIC CAPACITORS, INC." MODEL NO. LK30-106Y. IT COST ABOUT $230 AT THE TIME... I'm glad to provide more photos/views upon request for serious buyers. Still delivers High Power (QRO) RF some 51 years after it came off the Chicago assembly line! There are only very minor scratches and scuffs not noticeable in the pictures, NO DENTS and no invasive mods (no holes drilled, etc.). I replaced the aging rubber power cord with a new 12 AWG Black Rubber Cord that also provides power-line frequency chassis ground through a small heavy-current choke in the chassis underside, for safety. I replaced the aging solid-state bias rectifiers with silicon diodes to better protect the single Pentode final (PL-172/8295). The 3B28 HV Rectifier tubes were also pulled from their sockets and replaced with two K2AW Silicon Alley rectifer modules conveniently and passively secured/heat sinked to the thick steel inner upper-chassis wall. However, I am including the original 3B28 tubes and their plate-cap connectors/original wires from the plate transformer should the new owner wish to reinstall the original equipment design. All these passive/reversible mods above I performed back in 2000; they improved overall performance and can all be reversed for an OEM purist... With the present Eimac 8295 tube, just 75 Watts of drive produces between 800-950 Watts Output on 80, 40 and 20 meters, slightly less on 15 meters and over 1 kW on 10 meters! I have used this Amp extensively on both AM and SSB using P.T.T., not VOX--so as not to arc contacts on external changeover relays needed to switch in the Amp during transmit, and bypass it in Receive. Further, I have always tuned this Amp with a Fox-Tango pulser circuit to reduce component stress/heat during tuneup or band changes, and I also use a 0-120 Vac Variac to slow-start the control/HV primaries (note that Variac "slow start" for the HV is only possible using the present K2AW rectifiers in lieu of the 3B28 tubes). This Variac method eliminates high-current surges and that damaging "thunk" of a primary peak surge when you turn on older equipment like this. The single final PL-172/8295, or 8295A pentode tube is used here in a Class AB1 grid-driven, grounded-cathode design. A front panel potentiometer allows the negative bias on the control grid to be adjusted for RF drive levels generally between 70-100 Watts, and specifically to prevent grid current flow (unwanted in Class AB1 operation). PLEASE NOTE that this Amplifier is factory wired for 117 Vac operation at 2350 Watts. This requires a dedicated minimum 20-A, 110-125 Vac circuit! The HT-33B is protected by three separate safety circuits within: Two fuses--one to protect the control, filament and bias circuits, and the other to limit the final screen-grid current from exceeding 30 mA. On the front panel, a fast-acting 22 A hydraulic-magnetic Circuit Breaker protects the high voltage supply and also serves as the HV Switch to the plate transformer primary. The final tube requires a minimum three (3) minutes warmup time before operation. The first person to contact me and make prompt payment will be the new owner. I am offering this fine Amplifier for sale at two price-level options via PayPal or Postal Money Order ONLY please. $1,400 for the Amplifier, single good Eimac 8295 final, a good (used) spare final and the OEM 3B28 HV Rectifier Tubes w/plate caps and wires. $1,750 includes all of the above PLUS a like-new and tested spare Eimac 8295A (newer Ceramic tube design of the original glass-envelope pentode), a spare cooling fan assembly (mounts beneath the 8295 socket to provide pressurized anode cooling), and some spare large Ohmite screen-dropping power resistors used to obtain the +450 screen-grid voltage and accessible in the chassis-topside. This is a table-top amplifier, but it is VERY HEAVY! Not made for Aunt Ethel's card table ;-) 114 LBS, and over 120 LBS Shipping Weight (it would have to be "crated"). I greatly prefer pickup by the buyer! I will FedEx it ONLY if necessary, and the buyer will pay that cost in full, including transit insurance. YAESU FL-2100B TECH SPECIAL. In fair condition. Meters work, power supply has full voltage, works on 80,40,20 and 15 meters. It has been abused on 10 meters. The band switch position for ten meters is burnt. I did not even try it on 10 meters. The tune capacitor has some bad spots but no arching on the bands I tried it on. Tubes are pretty flat. Best band is 20 meters with close to 400 watts output. Other bands are lower but input tuning SWR is high so adjustment there would help.$250.00 plus shipping. Collins 30S-1 For Sale

Collins 30S-1 Amp For Sale. I have an excellent condx Collins 30S-1 for sale, S/N #544. I just handed out a dozen QSOs with EUs and it works great, 1500W out SSB on 20M. Tube is nearly new, about 40 hrs on it. Cabinet is in excellent shape but both sides have one scrape each where the paint needs to be touched up (not visible from front). Front panel looks like new but there is a hole in the handle thanks to some prior owner that could easily be plugged and repainted. The illumination lights in the meters need to be replaced (#47 bulbs) but dial lights are a- ok. Included are the manual (photocopy), RF output cable (8' RG213 N-connector to PL259), T/R cable, RF In phasing cable (20.5') and two spare 4CX1000 tubes. One spare is very old and untested, you should test / toss. The other one was working with some bias drift until I replaced it. I can deliver it next week along my way from Eastern PA to Dayton or at Hamvention between 5/15 - 5/20. I'm willing to drive a bit out of the way to meet you. Or local pickup. I will ship if you want but buyer must pay all packing and shipping costs (31x17x19, 160 lbs). Asking $2000 OBO due to new tube. I have for sale a nice Heathkit SB-220 Linear Amplifier. I have had my buddy check it out and heres what he had to say or did "to make it in fine working order. From Tom: Fan Motor Replaced Resoldered Plate meter lead Assume previous owner sold amp because of burned out fan plate meter no longer worked. Attached new AC Plug for 115 Vac Kept origional 220 Vac jumper attached with paperwork As per manual the 3-500z will show a dull Red when driven to full output per duty cycle. This is normal as per manual. If tube plates show a bright orange or yellow stop and look at tuning and drive level Because of limited line supply (115 Vac and 15 amp breaker) Amp only driven to 500 watts out for testing From results below it can be assumed that Amp will deliver Full power out with a 220 Vac Line supply or at 115 Vac with a 20 or 25 Amp line supply. This Amp was driven with a Triton 4 at 30 to 40 watts input to Amp Results Below: 80m 30w input 500 watts output this is 16X input 40m 30w input 500 watts output this is 16X input 20m 30w input 500 watts output this is 16X input 15m 30w input 500 watts output this is 16X input 10m 40w input 500 watts output this is 12.5 x input more drive for same given output.This is normal for this band. 30w input/ 500 wattsout = 16 x input Conclusion: With proper AC Line volts / ampere supply from ac mains this Amp should deliver full factory output on all bands. The Yaesu FL-2100B is a 1200 watt, grounded grid class B, linear amplifier that is a great match for the FT-101E/EE/EX transceiver. It features dual meters of the front panel. This amp features two rugged 572B final tubes and operates 3.5-4, 7-7.5, 14-14.5, 21-21.5 and 28-30 MHz. Power input is 1200 watts PEP SSB, 800 watts CW (50% duty cycle) and 600 watts on AM/RTTY. Plate voltage is 2400 VDC. Required drive is 30 to 100 watts. Requires 100/110/117/200/220/240 VAC 50/60Hz 2100 watts. It is a BTI LK-2000, made by Brad Thompson Industries. It uses a single 3-1000Z tube. It has one tube in it and *two* spares. Rectifiers and filter caps were replaced and upgraded several years ago. Covers 80-10M (no WARC) It is in good shape, and works well. It's been running about 1200 watts or so out on 80M lately. It is a floor model on casters and runs on 240VAC.
