JOHNSON VIKING THUNDERBOLT

I have found more information on the Viking Thunderbolt as to the changes made on it as I found the manual on bamba,the first thing that I noticed was that the screen voltage tubes have been all replaced with a rectifier bridge and and the filtering capacitors were replaced with bigger ones as seen in the pictures that I have and could be sent to anyone that is interested in it,this amp is fully operable as I have fired it up and it works 100% the cabinet is dent free and as to being 1 to 10 I would say its about a 8 or 9 as you know this amp is very heavy and as to shipping I really dont want to as to the weight of it so I would say I would like to have it picked up, as the last resort I would ship it at the cost of the buyer now as to the price I have no idea as to what one would give for it because of the mod changes so I would leave it open to offers or I would make a trade of other items that one would have items to trade,another option is for any person that has the time to put it back to its original state but as I see it if you were to keep it as one great piece to put next to your Johnson rigs it would look great as you only know that the changes were made,but like me as to selling it I am disclosing all and you would also do the same if you were to sell it again so if you would like pictures of it I have many of them and they are very clear to view and shows all the changes that have been made you can call me at 585-256-7324 for more info or just email. Heathkit SB-1000 Amp

Nice used single 3-500Z amp. 10-160 meters. It is wired for 220 volts but is easily changed to 120. I have had it about 2 years and hate to sell it but times are tough. The tube is an Eimac 3-500Z. It lopes along at 8-900W PEP I have never used it for other than SSB. The face is very nice but someone has made a couple of preset marks around the plate knob and there are a few scratches on the top of the case. More pictures are available by email. The original manual, drawing set and the sales reciept are included. I prefer local pickup but I will deliver it to the ups store for professional packing to buyers specifications and shipment. Packing, shipping and insurance are at the buyers expense and added to the cost. SB-220 (160 Modified)

Heath SB-220 -- The AMP is a heavily modified SB-220 with a pair of Eimac 3-500Zs. I have done all of the published "Harbach" modifications (PS diode revamp and soft-start via time delay relay - QST Feb 79, AG6K (Measures) VHF parasitic oscillation mods), QSK mod/HV diode clamp - QST Jan 80/HR APR 78 - it has a standby/on switch that switches the Zener bias from cutoff to run. Plus it has an Amp Supply ATI-6 switched input board (160-10m except NOT WARC) so it can be used with solid state radios and I added 160m per K1ST design. It easily put out > 1250W on all bands as I recall from 220 VAC power. The band switch still has unused positions (2 or 3 I think). Price $1000 plus shipping.

DENTRON GLA-1000

I used this amp daily on 75/80 and 40 was putting out about 850 watts with 100 watt input via my Kenwood ts-850sat according to my bird 43 meter with the h2500 slug. Well some thing went wrong with it, While in a qso, The thing shut down. No flashes, Smoke or noise. Its as if it was just turned off, But not so. I have not taken this apart so I don't know what is wrong. I just connected my Henry 2kd and that's that. All the controls work like new not like many I have seen, Sloppy. I did like this amp and if I had the time it would be up and running, I have seen close 950 and the bird 43 don't lie. Again this item is being sold as is, Not working.
