A REAL PEICE OF COLLINS HISTORY. THIS IS A WORLD WAR II COLLINS RECEIVER USED BY THE NAVY IN SUBMARINE BOMBERS AND PROBABLY OTHER AIRCRAFT. TYPICALLY USED WITH THE ART-13 TRANSMITTER. COVERS 80, 40 & 20 METERS THE CHASIS IS PRISTINE (BRIGHT & SHINY LIKE NEW), WIREING AND COMPONENTS ALSO PRISTINE. NO SIGN OF ANY MODIFICATIONS OR BUTCHERING WHATSOEVER. ALL TUBES ARE THERE. THE CABINET IS UNDAMAGED EXCEPT FOR PAINT - NEEDS TO BE REPAINTED FACEPLATE - SHOULD CLEAN UP NICELY ONE TOGGLE SWITCH IS BROKEN BUT I PROBABLY HAVE ONE TO INCLUDE FOR REPLACEMENT, IT IS IN A VERY EASY SPOT TO REPLACE. ONE KNOB IS MISSING,CAN'T REMEMBER WHICH ONE, I MIGHT HAVE ONE OF THESE AS WELL. THE DYNOMOTOR IS MISSING WHICH FOR SOME REASON IS VERY COMMON BUT THEY ARE AVAILABLE ON EBAY AND OTHER SOURCES OR YOU CAN JUST BUILD A POWER SUPPLY. FROM RECENT RESEARCH I HAVE BEEN LED TO BELIEVE THAT THESE ARE GETTING VERY HARD TO FIND ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION. I HAD PLANNED TO PURCHASE AN ART-13 AND SET UP A VINTAGE MILITARY STATION BUT TIME JUST DOES NOT PERMIT ME TO DO SO.
