The good ham does the same to Dayton Friedrichshafen.

For some reason, Friedrichshafen just didn't 'click' for me at all. Been there, tried it and didn't like it - apart from the beer.

Ham Radio IS a religion for some.
The good Muslim goes on the Haj to Mecca at least once in his lifetime. The good ham does the same to Dayton.

I always tell people, if ham radio were a religion it would have two
holy festivals each year. Hamvention, and Field Day.

Peter & Peter:  I never heard of 200 people getting trampled to death at Dayton or Friedrickshafen!

That's because the fried pork tenderloin sandwiches are always plentiful.

God said.” Bestow on to me thy used and unwelcome ham related items”.
It’s Me KA9UCN, Please send such items to my QRZ address along with the usual 10% tithe check to ME. Care of KA9UCN to be used until I expire. At witch time I will be sending it to the after life by U.P.S. Remember U.P.S. delivers every where. I will pack it in the appropriate flame proof containers. If I run into God I will be happy to turn it over to him as after this post. I am sourly going to hell!

To combine religion with amateur radio is to take both topics too seriously.
Certain frequencies do that.

The participants usually end up getting cited.  Wink

With this hobby and my astronomy hobby, I really don't mind being called a fool.

Have you ever combined the two hobbies: radio astronomy?
