FYI:

VP8SGI arrived few hours ago to South Georgia Is.
They have very good weather and they started to work on antennas and shack set up.

They expect to be on the air in two or three hours.

With VP8STI, 40m was the band I worked them on and consistently heard them with a nice workable signal.. hoping it's the same for SGI.

Vinnie, Begging to the Lord has never worked for me. Legal Limit, competitive antennas and good DX skills work every time.  Cheesy Cheesy

On 20 it sounded fake to me but not sure at all. Just didn't sound like any of the guys sending from STI. Way slow and not same rhythm.

I'm listening to their 15 meter signal and it's not much stronger than the QRN.

You better think about lighting an electric candle and start praying to St. Jude.  Based solely on what I'm hearing right now I don't think this will be any easier than VP8STI.

The terrain must be having a huge impact on signal strength.

If it was them on 20, not at all sure it was, they were better then I would expect for the time of day on 20 here. Mind you not great and not strong enough that I even gave a call this early in the game but I could copy.

Later this afternoon will be the test here.

I WFWL'ed with a hope that it was real, and the op either had VP8STI muscle memory or the computer keying did.  They are definitely on 12SSB now, however...
