The bottom line on the IC-7300 is that it is an extremely capable radio in any way/mode it is used. Yeah, it may not be the end all, be all, but anyone who criticizes it, especially at that price point, has some alterior motive.

Could be said then that he must have an ulterior motive if he has that view of anyone who criticizes the 7300.  Wink...... Grin

"Ulterior"...that's the word I was looking for...not "Alterior". Thanks for the correction Grin

I would say the TS-590 and the IC-7300 are very close. They are the newest latest production rigs out their. I would guess it would be eye candy for your preference. I have a IC-Pro III and a Kenwood TS-590S. The Icom just works better for me, but that is not a fair comparison. $3500 ve $1250 New.

Going to buy the new IC-7610, when I do I will sell my Pro III and keep my Kenwood, Why. The Icom Pro III doesn't really have a computer connection. My TS-590 does.

A $25 usb to CI-V cable gives full data control.  No USB audio built in though.
