I own and operate two System Fusion DR-1 Repeaters, serving the Texas Hill Country, they both provide excellent coverage in the areas they serve. My plan was and is to link the two repeaters, to provide a solid line of communication from Junction Texas, to Three Rivers Texas. The repeaters have outstanding coverage being located on some of the highest hills in the region, however the remote locations have made Internet not cost effective to use as the means to link the repeaters.

So I am looking at how to link the two DR-1 Repeaters together? My thought was to use two more Fusion Repeaters to provide the linking. They can fully communicate with each other via 70cm link hill top to hill top distance of about 30 miles.

Has anyone done this, can they tell me what all hardware and programing we will need. I would like to be able to support through the link both digital and analog communications as the repeater usage is about 50/50 at this time.

Any assistance on this project will be greatly appreciated.
