Greetings --

The organizing team of the 2017 Central States VHF Society Conference is proud to announce this year’s technical program, an exciting lineup of semi-technical and technical presentations covering a variety of VHF/UHF/microwave topic areas including DXpeditioning, antennas, moon bounce, DSP tools, propagation, meteor scatter, digital modes, and more.

Check out this year’s presentation lineup, along with abstracts and speaker biographies at

The CSVHFS Conference is open to those interested in learning, operating, experimenting, designing, contesting, DXing, etc. on amateur radio’s VHF, UHF, and microwave bands.  Whether you're a complete newcomer to VHF & above, an expert, or somewhere in between, the CSVHFS Conference will have much to offer in the way of enjoyable activities, learning opportunities, and the chance to rub elbows with some of our nation’s top VHF+ operators.

Activities include semi-technical and technical presentations, a display of VHF/UHF/microwave contest rover vehicles from around the nation, a display of portable microwave stations and dish antennas, posterboard presentations, VHF+ vendors, a VHF/UHF/microwave equipment swapfest, luncheons and banquet dinner with guest speakers, prizes, an outdoor antenna range for attendees to measure the performance of their VHF/UHF/microwave antennas, QSL card checking, a specially arranged tour of the NRAO Very Large Array (VLA), family activities, and more.

There will also be an program designed especially for beginners: The VHF101 and VHF102 programs will consist of activities and presentations tailored for the curious and for beginners, teaching what the world of VHF/UHF/microwaves is all about, the exciting activities that happen on those frequencies, how to get started, where to find resources, and more.

We hope you’ll be amongst the many VHF/UHF/microwave from across the United States, Canada and other countries in sunny Albuquerque, New Mexico (DM65) on July 27-30 at the Sheraton Airport Airport hotel.  Registration is open, underway, and ready for you to sign up.  Visit and click on the “Registration” menu to get started.

Lodging information can be found at IMPORTANT: The deadline to secure your hotel room at the special Conference rate is June 28, after which room prices will increase.
