There is a HF cat and it is simultaneously both dead and alive until the forum is opened and the HF cat is observed.

KB2WVO,

I was being funny and didn't respond to your post.

Looks like you are asking a question about eHam in general and perhaps about the forums as to why there is no HF category.
I think because as a forum category, HF is way too broad and HF is covered in most of the other forum categories.
That is why you see categories such as boat anchors, antennas, elmers, propagation etc.
I want to know about a dipole, I go to the Antennas forum.
I want to see about DXing, I go to that forum.
I want to be entertained in a reality tv sort of way, I go to the MISC forum.

This is an internet website where anybody can almost say anything.
eHam has members with an incredible amount of knowledge about radio and you can find good answers to most questions.
You can also find funny, sarcastic, cranky, trollish responses.

I had a cat that sat on my HF rig all the time when I was in the room and it was turned on so it was warm.  And I controlled it with cat too.  And I bought it out of a cat... Hmmm.. must be a lot of differnt things called cat..  Grin  OH, you meant category!... well I'l be darned..

K5NOK is correct.

There many people here with vast RF knowledge like me.

And there are folks who just get up here and say silly things.

Some claim that Albert Einstein described telegraph like so:

"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat.  You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles.
Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there.  The only
difference is that there is no cat."
