My Yaesu736R has been working great but i just went to put in a repeater using VFO and the encoder is staying on in there.    I wanted to put in a repeater that does NOT have a tone.   How do I turn off the encoder?
Can't figure out why it is staying on in VFO mode...

Tnx for any help out there....

Hi There. I reckon that you need to press 'Function' (lower right) and then 'Enc' which is the USB switch under Mode. Good luck! Tim.
