My Yaesu VX-6r has never performed as the manual describes, with respect to the RESUME function of scanning.

Within the RESUME function, you can select the time interval that the radio will hold on a frequency when it receives a transmission, before it returns to scanning. The interval options are 3 seconds, 5 seconds and 10 seconds. No matter what interval I program, it holds for about 1-2 seconds and begins scanning again.

Have any other VX-6r owners experienced this? Can you shed some light on how to alleviate this?

My VX-6r is about 10 years old. It's always done this.
