I could kinda hear 3C1L there most of the time but only occasionally would it peak up above the noise where I could copy anything.

One time I did copy him coming back to W2IRT!!!

Sometimes...SOMTIMES things just come together...

I saw the 9U spotted on 20m CW, so despite the high
A & K indicies, I turned things on to see if I could hear them.
Couldn't hear anything out of Burundi,
but 3C1L was also spotted on 20 phone.

Went to 14190 and there he was,
not terribly strong, but plainly audible.

Listened to 14195 and heard a W6 answering him.

3 calls later...In the log

Doesn't happen often, but it does occasionally.

I heard you get through so many times on the high bands when I couldn't!

Just wish they would temper working all of JA and EU and let some of the stations in my region get into the log when we have the prop...often about the time I hear them working NA, our prop is gone here...

I'm curious as to why you post such meaningless spots? Your begging & whining will not change how 3C1L is operating.

3C1L.............."Oh look, W9BB says to QSY to 160, 30 & 17 meters". "QRX guys, we are going to QSY to bands needed by W9BB and will be back on frequency in 5 minutes".

Dude....WTH are you complaining about? you're in both logs, multiple times.

JA and EU, especially Asia, have just as much right to a qso as anyone. Be glad you don't live somewhere in the OC region. They are really getting the short end of the prop stick.

I think these >>>2<<< guys are doing a super job.

We should complain much less.  Today I saw VK9MA calling NA only, and 5 minutes later when they worked JA, someone commented on the cluster "WHEN NA?"
I am now listening on 3502, and 3C1L working lots and lots of USA due to time of night and propagations.   Maybe I shall spot "WHEN EU?... lol

Thanks. Yeah, I really wanted 80. That one I'm quite sure of, no thanks to the DQRMing @#$%oles tuning/ditting on the QRG. You're also not wrong about them not seeking out the difficult paths that have propagation. I've said it so many times, if I go on a DXpedition someday I will actively seek out the tougher paths during the few hours they're open, then just work the hordes when they have an exclusive shot the rest of the day. It's one thing to be in the logs on the higher bands. Lowband skill (and luck) is the mark of a good DXer. I'll take a sweep of the low bands vs the upper bands any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

But all that said, I strongly commend these two ops for their ironman-like skill in working the piles down. Like George and Tomi in years past, really. Sad that they're not going to stand a chance against Bouvet for DXpedition of the year, and one of the big reasons that I wish SWODXA would recognize best small-scale DXpedition as well as best large-scale, and not have them both compete for the same honours.
