Mic Wiring  Heil Mic HM 10
Need internal wiring for toggle switch and cartridge, not the plug pin out
The yellow, black and red wire
I have sent request to Heil waiting on response

Thank you

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I have a Heil HM 10 mic that was given to me and trying to repair
It has a HC-4 element and looks like the mic it has been worked/messed with
It will key the radio but no audio, I wiggle the wires and I got audio out until the wires broke off, not obvious were they go

The wires that need to be reattached
1. Black wire that comes off the center OD of the approx 2" diameter cartridge that has the HC-4 element
2. Red wire that comes off the side of the switch, it looks like it was attached to the bottom of the 2" diameter cartridge, were is it reattached there or 4 solder posts
3. Yellow wire loose but looks like it might be attached to the other side of the switchsh

Not sure if the wire colors are the original
If the mic is dual element is the 2nd element mounted under the the HC-4
Does anyone have an internal wiring diagram
Thank you

The HM-10 has both an HC-4 and an HC-5 element.  The switch selects which to use.

If it is a single pole-double throw switch (most likely), the center terminal should go to the audio wire in the cable.

One of the other terminals would go to the HC-4 cartridge, and the other to the HC-5 cartridge.

A wire would connect the return side of the cartridges together and to the other audio wire in the cable.

the forth wire the cable is for PTT and would go to the PTT button on the microphone.

I use an HM-10.  Been real happy with it
I have 'mapped' out the wiring.
I can scan and email you my notes

Email me at my call at ARRL dot net
Put HM-10 on the subject line
