I'm trying to find build dates for Vibroplex Vibrokeyers.  Searched older threads and the info they referred to is no longer available.  Is there still a publicly accessible site that dates the serial numbers for the Vibrokeyer rather than Bugs?

Specifically I'm looking for the date for Serial# 21699.  It's from the older style made in Broadway NY and the plate is sideways rather than straight across.

Thanks,

Mine is 254685 made about 1966.  There are 6 numbers so if yours is 21699? it would be approx 1960 when they started making this model.

Go to the Vibroplex company page and open the parts page.  At the bottom is a link to an acrobat file with all the numbers.

Thanks Art. I thought that document was only for dating bugs.

My vibro keyer serial# is 246994 (the last digit is very faintly stamped), so as you said that would out it in the 1960 timeframe based on the document located at the following link.  http://www.vibroplex.com/techdocs/WW7P-Serial-Number-List.pdf

I wouldn't date a Vibrokeyer.  Not my type.  My significant other is a Straight Key only!   Cheesy

Judging by the subject line, I would say you may need to get out amongst them a bit more... especially the opposite sex!
