Anyone care to make a suggestion? One of two of these in a Ten-Tec 1254 kit is not working and need a replacement. This IF amp is obsolete so Mouser does not stock it. Am investigating an NTE746 as a possible but have no data sheets printed yet.

You can still get these in the UK from Cricklewood Electronics if that helps.

https://www.cricklewoodelectronics.com/MC1350P.html

I'm sure they can post you one if you ping them an email asking, they are pretty good having dealt with them for the last 30 years.

Thank you, Paul for the quick response! What is the exchange rate these days pounds to USD? Postage/shipping probably is a deal breaker. Will keep your link in mind. Thank you!

Try UTSource. I've had good luck with them. All the IC's I have bought from them are originals and not counterfeit.

The NTE746 is the exact same thing. If there are any local NTE service parts outlets still in your area they probably have them in stock.

By mail-order stateside you can get MC1350P at http://www.futurlec.com/ and http://www.jameco.com/

An MC1349 is also very close, but requires a bypass cap change.  Unfortunately it is probably rarer than the MC-1350.

Futurlec as them:

http://www.futurlec.com/cgi-bin/search/search.cgi

MFJ lists them as replacement part as well. All of their
MFJ94XX rigs use them.

Best source for the MC1350P is Anchor Electronics out in Santa Clara.
http://anchor-electronics.com/price-list.pdf

Price is $.99 each, and they send whatever you order via a USPS small priority box.  Two days max.

Definitely not.  These folks have a lot of old stock.  I've bought lots of discrete parts and ICs from them for more than 30 years.  First as a walk-in when I lived in Silicon Valley and in recent years by mail order.

Honest pricing on old stock.. IOW, their price is based on their cost, not "what the market will bare."
