I just watched a YouTube video featuring a mic on a boom with a hand-held push-button momentary tx/rx switch. I happen to have a high quality, low impedance mic that I used to use for stage performance (and a boom stand). What I'd like to try is wiring a spare mic plug with two cables - one for the audio input from the mic and another for the remote mic switch. I don't care about the mic-mounted tuning buttons.
Anyone know where I can get the plug pin assignments? Is the stock hand mic lo-Z?

Downloaded the Service Manual and got it. Now to decipher the circuits...

I discovered that Bob Heil makes and sells an adapter cable - 3-pin XLR to Yaesu RJ45 modular - with a 1/4" phone pigtail jack for a PTT switch. It isn't cheap ($40) plus the switch w/ cable to 1/4" phone plug, so I decided against the mod for the time being. Maybe later...
