When I try to push the send button on my ts950s, it will not send unless I remove the keyer from the back panel.  I even tried a  plug with nothing connected.  same problem.  I have the switch set to internal, am using a set of paddles that work just fine.   This is a problem, since the plug is in the back of the rig, and difficult to pull out without moving everything around.  Every time I change bands and reset my tuner in the basement to predetermined settings, I can' check and make sure I have low swr.

That's the way it works. With a key plugged in the send button will not put out any power. Try using AM or FM at reduced power for tuning.
