You don't want an antenna tuner, you want a preselector. MFJ makes several nice ones for around $100. The MFJ-1040C also has a 20dB preamp as well as a 20dB attenuator.

thanks for that tip, i have a mfj 1046 pre selector , which i find works about 85% of the time ,i was curious to know whether a antenna tuner might be better/and or an antenna tuner and the pre selector  working at the same time.
(as with the pre selectors you have to keep changing the bands , when you tune to another freq).
