I have a new Yasau 1500M and just love it.  My only problem is that I can not find in the directions any way to delete a frequency you no longer want in memmory.  I tried overwriting and it kicked the new frequence to the next open memmory slot.  Any help would be appreciated.

This is one of the annoyances of Yaesu radios of late.  There is simply no way to completely delete a memory channel without using the software.  I think the best you can do is hide the channel so that it doesn't show up during memory scans, but when you go to program your next memory channel, the hidden channel will still show up as a used channel.  Short of buying the programming software (which is actually quite good) I don't think there is a way to permanently delete a memory channel.
