If you are old enough to remember the intro to "Sky King" - you may remember what kind of radio they used at the ground station.

I remember the guy on the ground clicking a toggle switch between receive and transmit.

I don't remember niece Penny being that "healthy", but I was very young back then.

It's a shame that Kirby Grant (Sky King himself) died in an auto accident on the way (to?  from?) a Space Shuttle launch . . .he was ejected through his windshield, not strapped in.

I still take a long, loving look at any Cessna 310 with "tuna tanks."
