Hi all,

I am thinking of starting a HF net over here in Northern Ireland/United Kingdom. Can anyone give me some help on starting, for example how do you get the word around that you are starting one, e.t.c.  Any kind of information regarding HF nets and starting one would be greatly appreciated.

please mailto: martinsailor@hotmail.com, QTHR

Thanks 73

How to start a net depends primarily on the net's purpose, which will also dictate what band the net should occupy.

An "international" net is probably most acceptable on 20 meters -- as though there aren't enough, already!  A more "local" net maybe should be on 144 MHz.  A net to cover the U.K. and western Europe only might be best suited for 75 meters.

What do you want to do?
