I am looking at purchasing a Yeasu FT757 as a first radio.
What I like about this radio, is the fact it has so many features packed into one.

I am wondering if anybody has any input positive or negative in relation to the FT757 ?

Look forward to your replies.

Thanks, BuzzL

Depends on the intended use. It works for me reasonably well in my car -- although selectivity even with the optional filters is a bit weak.

I can't comment at all on its performance on VHF/UHF. Other than banging a repeater on each band to make sure the radio works, I use the beast strictly on HF and, when the propagation gods smile, 6m.

If, however, you are thinking about a radio for your home, I would look elsewhere.

Check the reviews in the Review section if you want to know what other hams think.

Much faster than trying to get answers here, but it does take a little more effort on your part. Smiley
