No One in the Elmers forum seems to know how to UN lock the keypad on this tiny little KenWood HT
I inherited this with 3 other 235TH's,all with no manuals, Kenwoods pdf files are to big to download via my dial up
ANYONE own one who knows how to UN-lock the key pad ?

Pretty much everyone here knows where to get the info you need. I believe they're hesitant because you haven't mentioned your callsign.... a requirement by federal law before you can transmit in the ham bands. If you haven't done so, I urge you and the others who are going to use the radios, to take the test. It's easy, a weekend of study is about all you need. If you need help finding study material or a testing center I'll be more than happy to help you out... after that then I can explain how to unlock the radio.

Press "F" then "MR" on the row of buttons below the display (which, on it's left side will display a "key" symbol when locked)

Good luck !

I forgot to also mention (as above) that you do have to have a Amateur Radio licence to transmit per FCC law.You can receive all you want.

Get that licence, its EASY !
