CW cypher groups just booming in on 5926 khz, in AM mode! 5927 in CW mode, but the stuff's so strong it has a nice tone in AM.

So, ok, what kinda stuff's going in the world that they need to BOOM out their onetime pad silliness? Don't those spy kids have satellites or something?

Probably don't have sats and
they may have fallen for the
"disinformation" campaign that
the US has NO code ability.

The real scoop is, that rather
than each service running
a seperate code school, the
Army runs one for all services
at Fort Huachuca, AZ.

Even hams that ought a know better,
say the guvment doesn't even use code
anymore.   I even put in my comments
to the FCC that ham radio still
should keep the code requirement
to help meet the need for intercept
ops as more and more conflicts will
be with third world countries that
don't use all the gee whiz high
tech commo stuff.  Look at 97.1 (d).

Fort Huachuca, AZ is not the only code school. Yes the Army and other brances still trach the code. The Army has a few radio schools.

Well, Sarge, according to an article in the
Army Times last year, it is the only
all service code school for Morse
Intercept operators.

Those "third world" or "more primitive" nations are kicking our ass though.

Better enlarge those military code schools......

You might consider that they don't want to give any clues by broadcasting sometimes and not others ;-)

They're are not "kicking our ass" - they are taking pot shots at us.

I've got an idea!!  Get another crystal for your single-channel radio.

Or see if you can find the VFO knob.

By the way, the reason it sounds good in AM is not its strength.  Ever heard of A2?  MCW?
