Hi all,

I’ll most probably be spending time in Saudi Arabia, up to sometime ago amateur radio was a hobby for the few select of the royal family, but I hear this has changed… Anyone up to date on how a non Saudi can operate in the Kingdom ??

Thanks for the reply...

Actually I contacted a German amateur who currently lives and operates in Riyadh and he told me that one needs to take an written exam to be licensed...

Apparently this is a new "opening" of the Saudi government to become more liberal... Don't know the details of this yet, but it's a nice option to look forward to !
