Has anyone had a chance to try out the new Andy-Crimp for power poles?  When I look at an image the die is round where the official crimper the die looks like  teeth.

It looks like a ratcheting version of the Klien and GB crimping pliers for closed barrel terminals, vs. the West Mountain Radio and other ratcheting crimpers that, from small photos, appear to have open barrel style jaws. Have not used one though.

I have the GB crimpers and I must be doing something wrong.  I can't make good connections with them using the power poles.  I can spend a good 5 minutes making one connection and it still will not fit into the plastic housing.

The GB crimpers are not suitable for crimping Anderson PowerPoles.  Bite the bullet and buy the correct tool for the job.  Consider on going in on a tool with several friends.
