1999 VW Jetta and a Screwdriver

As anyone had success installing a screwdriver antenna on a new model Jetta?  I have looked and I don't see any good locations to mount the support to the frame.  Also have not seen anywhere to bring the control cable and the coax to the antenna from the inside.  Any help would be very appreciated.

I have a 97 Jetta and have a trunk lid lip mounted K40 modified antenna for 20 meter.  Wires run just fine from the trunk, then, if you remove the plastic that protects the sill of the door opening, you can run a sizable wire through them.  Then, once at the front of the front door, under that panel is an easy run to the dash.  Be very careful lifting the covers off of the door sills, the clips holding them are very secure.  I have thought about a screwdriver, but figure the only way I can do it is with a trailer hitch receiver style mount on the back.

Good Morning...

I have a 1985 Jetta Turbo Diesel that I mounted a High Sierra Screwdriver antenna on. I ended up building a bracket that connects to the frame on the rear passenger side of the vehicle.
