As I described in an earlier post, I have made great progress in the past 8 weeks toward what may turn out to be  a "first" in Ham Radio:  5 Band WAS as a mobile operator, with all award contacts being made less than 50 miles from my home QTH in Springfield, Pa,  all CW at 100 watts output into a High Sierra HS 1500 Screwdriver.  (Please see my earlier post for more details)

As of  12/31/01, I have QSOed 88 percent of the needed state/band QSOs (220 out of 250), in just 8 weeks.

But its getting harder to work "New Ones" as I progress.  So I am going to list the states I still need on each band.  IF YOU ARE IN ANY OF THESE STATES, AND ARE ACTIVE ON HF CW, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE AN E MAIL FROM YOU REGARDING A SKED.  I QSL WITH AN SASE TO ALL NEEDED CONTACTS.

NEEDED STATES BY BAND - N8LXR/M
                   SPRINGFIELD, PA

80 METERS:  AK, HI, IA, KY, LA, MT, NE, NV, OK,
            RI, UT, VT, WY

40 METERS:  HI, MT,

20 METERS:  NV

15 METERS:  AK, GA, HI, MA, MS, ND, RI, SC, UT,
            VT, WY

10 METER:   AK, RI, SC

I can accommodate a variety of sked times and will work around your schedule.

So far as I know, should I complete 5 Band WAS as a mobile operator, this will mark the first time that a mobile station has achieved the award, and your station may be part of a unique happening in the arena of HF Awards.

73 to all and health and prosperity in 2002!
