I am about to mount my IC-746 and my Outbacker to my 1998 Ford Crown Victoria for an extended vacation.
I am mounting the Outbacker on a "U" shaped 1" square tubing to the bumper support which will in turn be grounded to the frame avoiding the shock mount for the bumper.
Voltage will come directly from the battery of course. Have not looked for a route into the passenger compartment yet. And I am considering shielding the leads all the way.
Has anyone out there experienced any problems with this car that I might be on the lookout for? I know there are a lot of them and the Mercury equivilant out there. And suggestions appreciated.
