can anyone tell me where i can find a longer power cord for a yaesu ft-1500?  the one that comes with the radio from yaesu is not long enough to reach my battery.  thanks.

Buy some wire of the same gauge (12 or 10 whatever it is) and some insulated butt connecters and add on to it,using some good tape (Scotch 33) to seal up the splice area.  I don't know the length you have to begin with but as long as you're not talking about a 10-15 foot run you should be O.K.

What size is the wire of the "power cord" you have?

thanks steve, i found on and ordered it from a dealer.  just needed a longer run of 7 feet
