I am looking at a new Alinco DR 135T, but there are few to no reviews on the Alinco line. Does anyone own or know someone who has experience or knowledge of this line. It seems to have been around for a long time, it just doesn't seem to get the exposure(for lack of a better term) as the other popular brands.

That should tell you something right there.

Good luck !

I've got two of them. One with the built-in packet modem. They both work great. One is in the shack and the other was used mobile for a number of years. Never any problem.

The built-in packet modem is pretty basic. It doesn't have a mailbox or some of the other features of stand-alone TNCs.

Another rig you don't hear much about is the SGC series. Both appear to be good radios and both incorporate first rate ADSP technology.
