I recently moved and have been unable to find the operating manual for my TM-221A.

Can anyone tell be how to set the CTCSS tones for transmit?

Hello,

You can find a downloadable manual for that radio at:

http://mods.dk/

Select the Kenwood tab at the top of the page. When it loads, select Manuals on the left hand side and scroll down the list.

Have a TM-221A with intermittent tones.  Thought I had it permanently by cleaning 2nd pin in on either side of the sip connector.  Lasted 3 months.  Now no tones.

Any ideas on diagnosis ?
