Has anybody used a Boss II controller with an Alinco radio (DX-70 in particular)?  I'm running a DX-70 and a Tarheel Model 100 and would like to have an automatic controll for the antenna instead of manual.  There is no mention of Alinco on the W4RT site...

The last time I talked to them, there were no immediate plans to support Alinco.

That sucks, when LDG was originally designing the MAC-600 (what the Boss II turned into) it was going to support the Alinco.  I emailed W4RT and they said they didn't know if it would work with Alinco or not as they didn't have one to play with....Yet another reason to look at the IC-7000

That says to me the company is either

(1) too lazy to borrow a rig
(2) isn't interested in Alinco owners.
(3) both - probably this one.

Takes so little time and effort to change bands manually on my HS-1800 I haven't tried to find a replacement for the AmCon unit when it broke. I can think of lots more things to spend $200 on. Smiley

Yeah, Im affraid your right.  It doesnt take me much time to tune it either, but I would rather just punch a button on the radio and let it do it, less to think about while driving.
