Hi maybe you guys can help.. I have this radio that i got and have read all the reviews after i purshed it but i got paket power supply and everything for only $100 anyway i have herd bad reports about the audio and i got into the hidden menu and was wondering in there is a deveation setting or anything and when i go and change something in the menu the process tell me to exit i have to hold the rev key and the low key togeather to exit out of the hidden menu... Well it will not exit out... Does anyone know why and anyother info would be good to help me with this problem of audio and hidden menu... Now i can turn it off and then it goes back but does not save anything that i changed... Also this radio has had the ex tx and rx mod and the mod to get from 118.00 to 999.000... Maybe these mods have something to do with it not being able to exit out of that menu.. And when my brother did the mod to his ft-1500m he lost the ars automatic repeater shift so if anyone can help me with this or give me some direction would be greatly helpful also can i just go to electronics store and get a 6 pin connecttor to seperate the head or will i have to wire it....   Dont really want to pay to get the seperration kit

thanks for all the help.. 73 kc8zdf

Your problem, and that of your brother, are common results when factory unauthorized mods are made. Some work, some don't, and when they do they often have undesired results.

Before doing any mod, you should check all of the reflectors to see what results others have had before doing the mod yourself.

However, in this case it appears you are entering the incorrect sequence of keys. If you join the Yaesu Reflector on Yahoo, you'll find the "fix" if you can call it that.
