ive owned both ft2800 and 1802,but not the kenwood. i also have had the v8000 and currently own the ic2200 and 1802 yaesu.out of all of them i like the ic2200 the best. the 2800 is nice too,but has failure issues, and has the typical yaesu menus.the 1802 gets intermod like crazy and feels cheap. the v8000 looks the ugliest, but blows into the repeaters at75watts.bonus,but the fan is noisy. i hate fans on 2 meter rigs.front speaker is excellent.the icom radios offer the mic with hot keys, which are handy and lets you run the whole rig from it..
i would recomend trying them in person if you can.my 2 cents.

ICOM V-8000 & ICOM 2200H are BOTH very good rigs.Had a Yaesu 2800 & I thought it was pretty much ALMOST DEAF.Never had the other rigs or used them!

I like the icom 2200H, don't be concerned about durability, I've put about 500 miles of real off road use in the deserts of Baja Mexico(3ft whoops, microwave size rocks, vibration, heat, dust etc.) and so far it hasn't skipped a beat.
