Those of you that are fortunate to have access to a
FT-1000D, please check something for me.  I've had mine
for a little more than a year.  Ended up getting an
older (built in 1990) fixer upper.  Got most of it back
to fully operational, and very clean.  Now, tracking
a minor problem in the second receiver.  The original
2nd receiver CW filter was really bad.  Replaced it
with an Inrad 400Hz filter kit.  This cleaned up some
of this receiver's problems.  What I'm still trying
to locate is a minor distortion this receiver has
when ever I use either the CW or AM filters.  Distortion is not heard through the SSB filter.  The
problem is so minor, I don't think I would notice it
if I didn't have the first receiver to compare it to,
but on CW, it's very distracting.  Wondering if this
is a normal situation, does yours do the same thing?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
