My Kenwood TS440S at the start up don’t  receive transmit or lock on to frequency for about 30 to 60 minutes after warms up all gets to normal and works fine. Any idea what may be and what I can do for it. Thanks beforehand.

Soyer,

If you can join Yahoo Groups please see:

http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/wMX2RgQ4ziao2WoDn1g2s8jzJWMQBH7bcTwvWthfqroRt_C4N8tkK5NuiPXwLnpHG5QZwOgE8xRXIpUHDtY2QJVcQhY9/TS440S%20Repair%20FAQ.pdf

It has details about possible repairs for this problem.  I have the exact same problem, but have not fixed it yet... I just leave the radio on all the time when I might use it ;-)

The TS-440 group is at :

First thing I would do is check the memory battery. Although it could be other things, this is an easy first step.
