I have a tandy HTX 100 10 meter radio  and have you can mod them to get 6 meters as well

does anyone know if this can be done?

Seems impossible.

The HTX100 frequency control is locked in a microcontroller that isn't even field programmable and as such this is one 10m rig that can't even be modified to work on 11m -- let alone 6m!

If you really want to use the HTX 100 for 6M, try getting or building a transverter.  10M is often used for the IF front end for transverters.
