I've had a few requests over the past months and at the risk of getting the programmers mad at me... :-)

How many hams out there would like to see a PDA version of eHAM - honestly, not just as a gee whiz?  Do any eHAM users use a PDA regularly and find it useful or indespensible?

Mike:

I would welcome the ability to access certain info wirelessly - like the propagation and spots info.  I use an interactive pager and find the call sign lookup at QRZ.com very handy, even though it is kind of basic (email).

Regarding PDAs, I use a Palm VII, which is wireless also, on a regular basis and would be interested in seeing eham.net in a format for that type of device.

I'd LOVE to see this. I sent in this very question a few months ago and they never used it on eham as of yet. I use a Handspring Visor deluxe. Check out:

Jeff has a Palm pilot version for Satellite and DX news etc., it's excellent!

I'd like to be able to sync a PDA with one of the ham loging programs.  This would be great for portable operation.  Also would be great for those of us who don't always want to boot up our computer when we operate.

I use avantgo to sync my palm V with a number of news pages...I would like an eham.net page to sync to as well.

I would think you could make PDA-compatible web
pages fairly easily. They would have to be formatted
to fit the PDA screen, but once that's done the pages
could be downloaded using a service like AvantGo,
or iSilo and iSiloWeb could be used. No special
programming on the part of the web site would be
needed except for the formatting of the pages to fit
the PDA, and that could probably be done through
some simple software.

My two cents.
