I understand both sides of the new issue regarding old topics coming to the top of the list and can support both positions.  I have a suggestion that MIGHT help everyone navigate the posts more efficiently.

If this has been posted before, pardon me.

Would it be possible to put an ARROW at the bottom of the page that takes you totally to the last page of that thread?  This would eliminate having to use NEXT a dozen times, and waiting for each page to load just to get to the last post.

Currently in the Elmers forum, there is a post with 74 entries, ALL with today's date.  It takes forever to get to the end with only the NEXT link for assistance.

Thanks.

Thread navigation improvments like that are on the list to be fixed. We are looking at making quite a few changes to the forums so this may or may not be added to the current fourms - it maybe get deffered to a more wide ranging overhaul of the forums.

You can do this:

Go to page one of the thread.

You will see a URL like:

http://www.eham.net/forums/Elmers/214917?page=1

change the '1' to the page that you want to fast forward to - like page 5 in your URL bar and hit enter.

The URL will look like:

http://www.eham.net/forums/Elmers/214917?page=5

Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for the update, George.  Sounds like a plan.

Some forums have a function that allows you to display posts in reverse order. That would be handy. Meanwhile, no complaints.Keep up the good work.
