I recently installed "Magic Sliders" under the legs of my heavy equipment desk, and was able to easily move it away from the wall without marring the wood floor.  Magic Sliders are coated plastic pads that come in various shapes and sizes, with various attachment methods.  They would be useful for heavy pieces of equipment such as amps, power supplies, etc, as well as furniture.  See my post under Product Reviews - Ham Shack Accessories.  Most hardware stores sell them.

Thanks for the information, Walmart has a version
of those too. It isn't easy to move large and/or heavy
stuff, be it furniture or Boat Anchors by oneself.
It's great that you shared this with us, many are
not aware of such devices.
73 and Happy Holidays,
Tim
