Occasionally I see equipment listed for sale that has been purchased within a few months.  In such an ad there is usually mention about an original invoice and warranty card included with the equipment.

Has anyone ever been successful at having equipment serviced under warranty while being the second owner?  It seems that providing a contact name and shipping information that is not even close to that on the invoice may raise some eyebrows.

Best,

Anthony

There's no requirement to submit a warranty "card" in order to validate a warranty.  Proof of purchase is all that's required.

Yes, I've found that warrantees are usually transferable and not restricted to "original owner only."
