Hello Everyone,

Has anybody heard when the IC-7200 will be available for retail sale in the US? Does anyone have them in stock yet?

Thanks,

Patrick

Well, Universal Radio has them on their website with a price.  Usually if it's not yet for sale, they don't list a price.

One thing I don't get on that rig is where they buried the RF power control.  I've looked real hard and cannot figure out where it is.

But I want to like the radio - I like the styling alright, I hope it's actually a decent performing radio.

Thanks very much for the reply and info. As for the RF power control, that is a menu driven feature on my IC-706mkIIg, I suspect the same of the IC-7200. I saw that Universal listed them but didn't think they were in stock. I'll give them a call and see what they know. Thanks again.

This past week I had a conversation with HRO Anaheim store manager Janet asking the same question.

She said they have a retail price on the item, which is a promising sign but that ICOM has not firmed up the availability date as of yet.

In her opinion, she believes HRO will have the item available sometime before Dayton 2009 event.

A year between announcement and shipment?  Sounds like a Microsoft product!

Well, I don't have the money for more radios anyway, Sigh.
