Is anyone besides Alinco making a stand alone 6 meter rig?  I know Azden used to about 8-9 years ago but they seem to be out of the radio business.

MFJ has a little 6 meter only rig for $250. I dunno if it's any good or not.

DFepends what you are after.  Several makers provide nice 6M FM rigs and MFJ makes a very nice SSB unit.  I have the MFJ 9406 which is about as easy to use as possible and puts out a very decent signal for its 8 watts.  I have some DX from Chicago on mine.

Kenwood makes an all mode 6M rig.  I don't have any experience with it.

I have a MFJ 9406 and it's a great QPR RIG !! I have made over 60 QSO's on it. I would recommend it as a good starter 6m SSB rig.

I recently bought an Icom IC-505 (all mode 6m), with fm unit for AUS$300 (US$150?).  It has 0.5/3/10w out, 9xC holder, 12v in, fm 10/1khz, ssb 0.1/1khz.  Anyways, works well, had a few QSO's, a bit awkward to get repeaters (have to do split on 2 VFO's).
