On most HTs you can't delete something from memory and leave that space empty. You have to over write it with another frequency.

I hope this helps and your English is just fine. Smiley

I own a VX-7R, the manual leaves a lot to be desired in many places, and misses some important things like deleting memory channels.

To remove a memory channel:

a) Get into Memory Group mode in the group you want.
For example I move to MRP mode by pressing V/M key until MRP shows up. There are other memory modes that I am unfamiliar with.
b) Press MonF key until the [F] turns into a [W] in the lower left hand corner of the display, about a one-second press.
c) Rotate the dial to the memory channel desired, like "8" or what ever memory channel you wish to delete.
d) Press V/M key for 2 seconds and the memory channel should be gone.
