I have a Johnson Challenger Plus 7166 2M mobile that I need to re-program. Not a hi-tech rig by any means, but would like to use it for some local repeater and APRS stuff.

Any info on where I may be able to find programming software or schematics for the programming cable would certainly be appreciated.

Reply here and/or feel free to e-mail me at kb9yew@arrl.net. Thanks in advance for any help.

Best Regards,

The EF Johnson Challenger uses a radio interface box. The box is an interface between the PC and the radio's mic port.
I have the software and the cable and box. I have been using johnson's for 2 and 440 for many years and I love them!

If you would like to send it to me for programming, I would be happy to program it for you.
