The Sussex County RACES Group as part of the Sussex County (Delaware) 911 Appreciation Day (5/8/14) will be demonstrating Ham radio, and looking for student to student HF contacts. The Sussex County (Delaware) Emergency Operations Center will host its annual 911 Appreciation Day, May 8 from 0900 to 1330 EDST. That day the fifth grade classes from all the county schools (about 500 students) are invited to spend the day at the EOC touring the center and exhibits from many First Responder and Public Safety agencies, enjoying pizza and soda for lunch. Working out of Ham Comm One, our mobile communications van set up in the parking lot of the center, we will be active on HF and local VHF frequencies. Schedules can be arranged by contacting K3PFW@ARRL.net.
