is the interface program between a pc and the vx5r worthwhile? i have been thinking of getting it.

I got it, and use it to create different radio configurations which I can load based on where I intend to operate. The ADMS software is a bit cumbersome, but it's still a lot better than all the punching and twiddling you have to do without it.

Even though it's far from perfect, I recommend it.

I have the ADMS software and I agree it is a cludge.

As stated, it does save a lot of time when you reprogram.

There is also a VX-5 COMMANDER out there. Download is free but the author requests a donation.

Try it and if you like it, send him some money.
