Being new to ham radio (6 months), every contact brings new information and questions.
My base unit is an Icom 275A, running to a homebrew copper j-pole. See the project at qsl.net/wrav, look down at hobby corner, then click on KG4WOA.
My question is this. Is there a software package available that will allow me to plug the base unit into a sound card, thus showing if a pl tone is present? Flipping through the repeater directory is fine if I know where the repeater is located. When receiving signals from three states, it becomes fustrating!!!!

         Thank you.    Alan   KG4WOA

The problem with trying to do that, is that most repeaters do NOT pass the PL tone through to the transmitter. Unless you can hear the input, there's nothing to detect.
