Hi,

Thanks for reading and I hope you can help.

I have my IC-706MkII radio connected to my desktop PC for RX/TX audio, TX switching and CI-V for freq control.  I also have a laptop and can create a LAN using Bluetooth.  The LAN works as intended and I can use MM Wavlink to use MMSSTV on my laptop to connect to the desktop PC and the radiofrom anywhere in the flat, audio and TX switching works.

I also use MixW which can read and change the radio's frequency using CI-V and I would like to be able to run MixW on my laptop and still be able to control all functions on the radio including the CI-V.  With bluetooth I can create an audio link so there is no problem with getting the sound to the laptop but does anyone know how to create a COM link over a LAN?  I.e. selecting COM7 on the laptop is actually COM1 on the desktop?

Thanks in advance,

Gavin / OK8BXF / MM1BXF.

This is similar to what is being done with AGWPE for Packet:  http://www.qsl.net/soundcardpacket/index.html

It is not exactly what you asked for but it is food for thought.
