I beg to differ. Having wound about a hundred coils over the years, the one thing you learn is, don't use insulated wire! In fact, an identical coil wound with silver plated wire, compared to one wound with building wire, will have a Q differential of nearly 20%. The real key is; coil structure first (this includes the insulation on the wire if any, and the support structure as well), LD ratio second, and coil turn spacing third.
